Tumbled Quartz from the shores of Lake Michigan! These sunny Quartz crystals are a delight to find and a treasure to use energetically. There’s just something that’s special about a rock you found yourself, isn’t there?
We’re all probably pretty familiar with the multitude uses for Quartz. To me, Quartz is kind of like water- good for just about anything that could be going wrong.
Quartz’s planetary ruler is the Sun, hello Solstice! It is known as the “universal-healer” and it amplifies the energy of other stones. Quartz draws out negativity and dispels it, leaving a more balanced feeling. It is associated with the crown chakra and increases psychic abilities. It is represented by all four elements, making it a convenient and essential addition to any ritual set up.
These stones for the Solstice were chosen for their inclusions of yellow and orange. This happy color actually comes from the presence of Iron. There is a lot of Iron around here, and when it met up with Quartz deep down in the earth, it imparted this lovely shade, as well as, its magick.
Although Iron is powerfully connected to the earth, it is also found in celestial bodies. In fact, Iron often arrived here to earth in crashed meteorites. This makes Iron a beautiful, tangible metaphor for “As above, so below.”
Iron is a magical metal that has been used for millennia in protective magic to guard against negative energy, illness, nightmares, entities, and attack.
A note on the Quartz: these don’t tumble “shiny” but become smooth and matte. A little ritual oil or moon water will also brighten up the inclusions for magick workings.
