Seer’s Scrub

Seer’s Scrub! My Samhain scrubs are one of my favorite seasonal traditions. I have generally worked with Elderberry and Mugwort in the past. This year, we’re going full divination-witch with a Seer’s Scrub.  

I’m a “waste not, want not” kind of witch and my absolute favorite thing to not waste is plant material leftover after an infusion. For this one, I used all the plants that went into making my Seer’s Balm that I just posted. 

Mugwort, Sweet clover, Meadowsweet, Scotch Pine resin, Hibiscus, Calendula, Cocoa nibs, Cornflower, Rosemary, and Rowan Berry. 

So after they infuse the oil for the balm, I strain them, pulse them down to a rough paste and then stir them into magnesium salts. This gives you a forest nymph, moisturizing scrub for the shower or bath. Messy bog witches will love this one! 

I’ve topped the moody, green jars with a night sky and I’ve topped the scrub with an Obsidian heart. Obsidian is used during past life work and ancestral healing. In times of great stress and grief, it offers us protection by shielding our energy and giving us strength to learn from our past.
