Milky Oat Tops with Rose and Strawberry! It is the most perfect shade of Dusty Rose and I’m extremely fond of this one.

Oats have a strong association with Beltane, as they’re thankfully growing this time of year before the other grains start. They are seen used in a variety of traditional Beltane recipes, such as Bannock.

The fresh tops are harvested while milky or sticky and act as a nervine for our adrenal and nervous systems. Just as the stalk of the plant, called Oatstraw, is used as a common tonic for stress support, Milky Oats can also be used as a tonic that acts quickly in stressful situations. The tops are high in nutrients like B-vitamins and Magnesium, which also nourish as they calm. This is a gentle and supportive plant that gives me that maternal energy that we feel echoing through this season of fertility.

Rose and Strawberry also work as relaxing tonics for the nervous system and are honored at Beltane. Strawberry, like Rose, is used to draw love.

Magically, Oats are used in abundance and sexual magick, making them perfect for the Beltane season. They also can be used in rituals for the home, stability, and happiness.

*Though, I mostly only work with tonic herbs, please do research on all your herbs before taking them as contraindications can happen on a personal level.
