Meadow Balm! This one took me years of dreaming about before I got it right.

This balm celebrates the utter extravagance and abundance of Lughnasadh season, of a wild meadow full of so many beneficial and beautiful plants. All sharing space. All offering something a little different to visitors of their space.

It started with Lughnasadh-honoring Meadowsweet and then came Tansy, Vervain, Autumn Berry flowers, Purple Dead Nettle, Feverfew, Oxeye Daisies, Clover, and Vetiver.

Meadowsweet, one of the most sacred herbs for the Druids, helps reduce inflammation and pain. It has been used to promote peace and to aid in love magick. Tansy also helps relieve pain and heat associated with inflammation. It has been used to connect us to the cycle of life, the immortality of energy.

Oxeye Daisies have long been used medicinally and magically as far back as ancient Egypt. They are associated with Artemis (aka Diana), the goddess for women, the hunt, and all things wild. Magically, they are a flower of long lasting love and friendship. They are antimicrobial, antifungal, anti inflammatory, and stunning.

Vervain, as an antiseptic, is used for eczema and skin inflammation. It has been a sacred plant to many cultures for millennia, offering protection from negativity and purification of sacred spaces.

Clover flowers are healing as well, and offer prosperity and love magick, pairing beautifully with Autumn Berry blooms that have been used in heart tonics.

Purple Dead Nettle is a beautiful plant for dry skin that is also helpful in wound healing. It brings cheer and prosperity. Feverfew has been used smooth skin tone and to soothe irritation, since it is known as Medieval aspirin. It is used in protection, consecration, and decision-making rituals.

Vetiver rounds it all out by offering powerhouse skin healing benefits. Vetiver supports the crown and root chakra, offering calm for the mind and a connection to the present moment- all with the fresh scent of meadows!

I’ve topped the tin with the symbol for Jupiter, planet of abundance.
