Earth Candle

I am SO pleased to start off the Ostara Collection with Earth Candles!!! An earth candle is a rustic, wabi-sabi type candle that is made by pouring the wax into a hole you’ve dug in the ground. Soil and bits of twigs become a part of the candle making them all incredibly unique.

I love the idea of earth candles for when the world is beginning to wake up again with the Spring Equinox. In fact, they are often used for spring rituals.

Not gonna lie, the ground is still frozen around here, so it was quite the exercise in hope for the future while making these. But I just love how they turned out, cracks and all.

I made this lovey songbird eggshell shade for the wax and I studded the tops with bits of magick that I love to work with at Ostara.

Pheasant feathers: for transformation
