Fall Elixir Bundle: Tulsi Elixir, The Harvesting and Elderberry Elixir, The Letting Go
The Fall Elixir Bundle includes the Tulsi Elixir and the Elderberry Elixir at a 10% discount.
An elixir is somewhere between a tincture and a syrup. The herbs are made into an alcohol-based tincture and then lightly sweetened with honey. This makes tinctures more palatable and I think a lot of fun to add to drinks for a little beverage magic.
Tulsi Elixir, now with Blueberry! Tulsi, also known as Holy Basil, The Incomparable, The Queen of Herbs, Destroyer of Demons, and the Divine Incarnation of the Goddess is a sacred plant in numerous cultures around the world and, like its names suggest, it’s easy to see why. Tulsi is an everything kind of plant. It’s adaptogenic which means it serves the body where it is most needed to combat stress and promote balance. As a tonic, it helps the body, mind, and spirit.
Tulsi works on deep levels to help bring healing and balance to where we need it most. Balance is a central theme of the season with Mabon falling on the Autumnal Equinox, when light and dark are perfectly balanced within a day. I love this echo.
Tulsi is truly spectacular in its ability to help relieve anxiety and stress, buoy creative focus and thought, boost vitality and endurance, nourish the spirit, balance the chakras, clear energies, and lull us into pleasant dreams. Since ancient times, Tulsi has been viewed as a rest between the earth and heaven. It is used in sacred ceremonies to invoke the Divine.
Along with offering a tasty tartness and a lovely new shade to the elixir, these local, farm-picked Blueberries add a healthy dose of antioxidants. Magically, Blueberries are useful when working with the throat chakra and when you need to speak your truth.
Elderberry Elixir! I don’t need to go into the power of Elderberry here, considering it is so justifiably famous for its immune boosting abilities. Our family has always taken Elderberry Syrup throughout the sick seasons, and now I take mine in the form of an elixir.
Magically, Elderberry is a symbol of ritual. It has been used throughout cultures and centuries to consecrate rituals of all kinds. I love this so much. I’ve always been attracted to rituals and nothing calms me quicker and connects me to the moment faster than beginning the steps of a ritual. Ritual gives us connection and community. It orders our mind and heart so that we can make clear decisions, have trust in ourselves, show up better in our relationships, and ease any constant tensions.
My Elder Elixir has always come with a little Cinnamon, Ginger, and Clove in the brew. For this year’s makeover of the elixirs, I’ve leaned into the Clove aspect and magick. In ancient Rome, Cloves were so beneficial and prized that they were actually worth more than gold.
Clove is a cleansing and protective plant, both for the body and spirit. It’s ruled by Jupiter, making it a fragrant way to draw abundance, luck, and prosperity. In fact, this is how Clove-studded pomanders came to be. They were given for luck and prosperity in the new year. We tend to do this at Yule, however for witches, Samhain is the ending of one year and the beginning of another. It felt fitting to give you Cloves at this time of year both for protection and prosperity.
*Though, I mostly only work with tonic herbs, please do research on all your herbs before taking them as contraindications can happen on a personal level.
