Sky Blue Sky Mask. Lavender, Peony, and Blue Clay.
Sky Blue Sky Mask for Lughnasadh season!
The Sky Blue Sky Mask begins with Cambrian Blue Clay that formed over 500 million years ago in a lush area of Siberia when the land and sea were brimming with abundant life. It’s most honored for its firming ability, though it is used like your more well-known clays to help with circulation, cleansing, regeneration, and achieving that healthy glow.
The seasonal plants that inspired this clay choice are Lavender, Peony, and Cornflower. With Lughnasadh being a holiday that honors the first harvest and grasses, as well as all things abundant, Lavender has always come to mind. Cornflower sneaks in there with the same vibe, adding a more wildflower take on it. Peony is just a straight up overflowing, more than I could ever use, amazingly generous friend with her petals, so she has become the symbol of Lughnasadh for me.
Lavender is antibacterial and is used to calm inflammation and help with discoloration. Magically, it is used to let go of energetic blocks, the things that are holding us back. It opens communication with our higher self and guides, making space to receive direction and guidance.
Cornflower is anti-inflammatory and helps tighten skin and shrink pores. It’s been used to help with acne and brighten the complexion. Magically, Cornflower represents renewal (awesome for a face mask!) and can be used in divination for a deeper dive into your inner world during truth seeking rituals.
Peonies are antioxidant-rich and have been used to brighten the complexion and strengthen the skin barrier, which keeps moisture in and irritants out. Magically, Peonies are used in abundance and attraction magick.
