Sea Witch Mask. Seaweed, Moringa, & Horsetail.

An abyss in motion
Slow motion” Jeff Tweedy
This gentle, hydrating mask, known as Sea Witch, is delightfully green for The Greening. It contains powdered Kelp, Wakame, Dulse, and Bladderwrack I carried home from Maine. There’s also powdered Moringa and young Horsetail picked on the trails I love.
Seaweed is notoriously moisturizing for skin. It offers gentle healing to inflammation and gives a brightness.
Seaweed has been used magically as far back as the Greeks. Sorcerers would swing it over their heads to call in the wind, while sailors and people who lived on the shore, would hang braids of seaweed for protection.
In folk magic, it’s been added to a jar of whiskey and set on the kitchen window to draw good luck and money into your business. It has been used in protection magick, to call in the wind, and to draw in abundance.
Moringa is a powerhouse plant that’s full of vitamins, minerals, protein, and antioxidants. It helps reduce inflammation and soothe skin problems.
It’s joined by locally-foraged Horsetail. Horsetail is so, so good for your skin. From smoothing to nourishing, it’s been called the Anti-aging Fern. It’s super high in silica and it is anti-inflammatory, both of which make it perfect for self care time for your skin.
